The founding partners of Martin & Helms, P.C., have more than 35 years of combined experience and a long history of successful litigation. We represent individuals and families who have been harmed by the wrongful acts of others and we are committed to getting just compensation for our clients. We handle many personal injury and wrongful death suits in northern Alabama, and we litigate dangerous or defective drug cases across the nation.
Both of our lawyers are native Alabamians. Attorney Clay Martin is president of the Huntsville-Madison County Bar Association, and has served on the Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice. He is past president of the American Inns of Court for Madison County.
Attorney Tara Helms serves on the Madison County Judicial Selection Committee, is very active with the Christian Women’s Job Corps, and a board member of the Madison County Volunteer Lawyers Program. She has also served as chair of the Women’s Section of the Alabama Association for Justice.
The firm contributes a percentage of its gross revenues to create a safer community and support local charities. Martin & Helms, P.C., received the Madison County Volunteer Lawyers Program’s small firm of the year pro bono award in 2012.
