Overview
John was raised in Arizona and has lived here most of his life. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, where he doubled majored in rhetoric and social science with an emphasis in legal theory. He earned his law degree from the University of Arizona where he was a member of Arizona Law Review and clerked for U.S. District Court Judge Hon. Richard Bilby.
John has been litigating personal injury cases involving catastrophic injury and death for more than 15 years and has successfully tried many cases to verdict. He is a board certified specialist in personal injury and wrongful death litigation. He is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, indicating his peers rank him at the highest level of professional excellence. The National Trial Lawyers has listed John as one of the top 100 Trial Lawyers in Arizona every year since 2007. He is also rated 10.0 by AVVO, its highest rating. He also sits on the board of directors and faculty of the Arizona State Bar College of Trial Advocacy, Arizona's leading trial college. In addition, he is a member of the Arizona State Bar Civil Practice and Procedure Committee, the committee responsible for drafting and reviewing the rules governing the way civil cases are litigated.
