Kristin is a one woman show that did it all! I had reservations about selecting a boutique type Lawyer to assist with my estate planning; but it was fantastic! She was so knowledgeable and helped me through some tough documents. Every person is unique and she took that into account. No cookie cutter approach. I plan to keep in touch over the years and if I need any changes, I will not hesitate in reaching out. I highly recommend!

Kristin is Extremely knowledgeable and really focuses on her clients first. I am a Financial Advisor and need to send my clients to an estate planning attorney often. I have used several other attorneys in the past and I am so thankful I found Kristin and Windrose Law Center to refer and be a reflection of my network. The feedback I have received from clients after sitting down with Kristin has been nothing but extremely positive. If you are considering looking into Trusts, Wills, Powers of Attorney, Living Wills, Beneficiary Deeds, LLC's, etc. to get your affairs in order, I would recommend Kristin and Windrose Law Center everytime!

We have been wanting to create a trust for so long. Kristin Moye met with us and not only put the trust together but she guided us through the different things that we might need to think of to help us make the right decisions. She was patient, thorough and came to us for the signing! Thank you Kristin, you've been great!

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
