Mr. Dudheker graduated from UC Berkeley with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics with an emphasis in Computer Science. He continued his education with a J.D from UC Hastings Law School and a L.L.M in Taxation from Loyola Law School with distinction. He has represented high net worth individuals and businesses in various industries including real estate and manufacturing.
After graduating from UC Hastings Law School, he was the In-House Counsel and Development Project Manager for Westar Funding, a real estate, mortgage and development company. His development responsibilities included acquisitions, dispositions, construction, and property management of both residential and commercial projects. His real estate and mortgage responsibilities included employment, litigation, and transactional issues.
After graduating from Loyola Law School Tax L.L.M Program, he represented clients before the IRS, Board of Equalization, and Franchise Tax Board in disputes regarding income tax, employment tax, offshore income, nonprofit tax, and sales tax. He also advised clients regarding choice of entity, entity dissolution, and entity conversion and represented high net worth individuals in Estate Planning and Estate Administration.
As In-House Counsel for Lights of America, he defended a $21 Million case against the Federal Trade Commission and represented the company in all aspects of litigation including e-discovery, discovery, depositions, pre-trial motions, expert preparation, witness preparation and trial. He defended a nationwide Class Action case asserting similar claims as FTC case; and represented the company in depositions, witness preparation, pre-trial motions, and settlement negotiations. He defended a patent infringement case against General Electric and represented the company in discovery, non-infringement contentions, settlement negotiations. He also advised Lights of America on employment matters, transactional matters, and compliance matters.
Currently, Mr. Dudheker is representing real estate companies and high net worth individuals. Given his background and the intersection of real estate, tax, and estate planning, he is able to provide legal services on broad spectrum of issues.
