Kenneth Chung is UNDENIABLY THE BEST, and I highly recommend him without reservation! He is not only knowledgeable, reliable, trustworthy, honest, and strategically savvy, but his unwavering dedication to always serving in the best interest of his clients is one of many key attributes that distinguishes him from any other attorneys. Our family has engaged Ken’s services for a few years on various challenging and rather complex business matters that other attorneys were either reluctant to tackle or did not know how to approach. Each time, he has successfully guided us through incredibly stressful situation with finesse and support, including a time when our loved one was faced with imminent death. When I initially searched for the right corporate attorney to handle our case, it took about five months to comb through the entire state of California (not an exaggeration) to speak directly with a handful of attorneys who had the expertise to navigate through a maze of issues involved. I was specifically looking for an attorney possessing keen problem-solving proficiency and sharp critical thinking and analytical skills to methodically maneuver to correct problems created by another professional. Unlike other attorneys, Ken spent almost one hour over a phone call, patiently listening to the facts of the case and asking a series of questions to fully understand the scope of the issues. He then carefully explained in detail as to what steps will be required and the approaches considered in reaching the best outcome. He even went far as to identify the pros and cons of each step, along with potential consequence of each step. Before that conversation ended, I was confident that I finally found an exceptional attorney. Once I retained his service, Ken meticulously and impeccably prepared all necessary documents in a short duration. As a result, I was able to persuade the Los Angeles County Assessment Appeal Board to reverse the County’s decision of reappraisal two years later, despite Los Angeles County’s notorious reputation of rarely reversing decisions. Among many other cases that Ken helped us was one in particular that stands out to exemplify the type of attorney Ken truly is. My dad was unexpectedly diagnosed with terminal illness with short life expectancy, which was a shock to our family. After receiving this devastating prognosis, my dad desperately wanted to resolve an ongoing partnership disagreement before his passing, which he has been working on for years to no avail. When I relayed this to Ken, Ken sacrificed his weekend hours to immediately prepare a forceful and impactful demand letter and swiftly worked with us to brainstorm and formulate strategies to meet the limited time constraint in reaching a resolution. Ken also made himself readily available to promptly respond to frequent calls and e-mails. During the course of this period, my dad faced a few critical incidents while being hospitalized. Yet he fought through each time, and whenever he recovered from those incidents, he said that he was determined to see this matter resolved before he dies. About a month after Ken began working on this case, he was able to reach a settlement in my dad’s favor to avoid litigation. Several days later, my dad was able to pass away peacefully; and for that, I am eternally grateful to Ken. My memories of my dad toward the end of his life in the hospital are excruciating painful, but I will always treasure how ecstatic he was when he found out that his last wish was fulfilled. Not only did Ken successfully deliver a favorable result, he gifted our family with a positive memory of my dad with a huge smile and overflowing joy during our darkest period. With so many attorneys out there, trying to find an excellent one can be quite challenging and frustrating. But I can wholeheartedly vouch for Ken as being phenomenal, and this is the reason that we continue to engage him whenever needs arise.

My experience working with Jeff Green on an employment law case was excellent. I would recommend this firm and Jeff to anyone.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
