Ryan V. McHugh is an Associate Attorney with The Angell Law Firm. With his extensive trial experience representing individuals, corporations and government entities, Mr. McHugh is a veteran litigator who is a dedicated advocate for clients. Mr. McHugh works in close collaboration with his clients to solve their issues, and he interacts effectively with adverse parties and counsel to achieve his clients’ objectives.
Ryan brings extensive trial and pre-trial litigation experience to the firm, having served as Deputy District Attorney for Alameda County from 2007-2011, and then as a criminal defense attorney from 2011 to 2017. During that time, he tried dozens of cases to verdict in both state and federal court. In 2017, he subsequently transitioned to a career in litigated civil matters, including real estate and business disputes. Prior to his legal work, Mr. McHugh was an investment consultant at Mercer specializing in wealth management and tax planning. Mr. McHugh is a member of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association and the Alameda County and Contra Costa County Bar Associations.
Mr. McHugh and his wife are the proud parents of two young girls. He enjoys cooking, travel, and cheering on the Bay Area sports teams.
