Attorney Information
Overview
Kristine Keala Meredith is a trial lawyer and partner at the Danko Meredith, Trial Lawyers. She has represented catastrophically injured victims of car, bicycle, and construction accidents, among others. She has represented the injured against manufacturers of dangerous or defective products ranging from the simplest consumer item, such as a household iron, to the most complex, such as an aircraft engine. She has handled matters in both state and federal courts including in federal multi-district litigation.
Kristine Keala Meredith was one of the trial attorneys in Burdett v. Teledyne Continental Motors, a case involving brain injuries suffered in an airplane crash in which the jury returned a verdict of $15 million. She was also a trial attorney in Dunn v. State of Hawaii, another traumatic brain injury case that resulted in a judgment of $2.2 million. She obtained the terminating sanctions in Jing-Li v. Sheng Hsiang Jen Foods, paving the way for a $50 million result for the clients in that case. Kristine was a member of the trial team representing 59 victims of the PG&E gas explosion in San Bruno, California.
Kristine Keala Meredith obtained her B.S. with honors from the University of California at Davis and was awarded a scholarship to attend Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School. While in law school, she was awarded the Distinguished Student Service Award and spent a semester at Howard University Law School in Washington, D.C., as a member of the faculty/student diversity exchange.
Before devoting her practice to representing plaintiffs, Kristine represented medical device manufacturers, doctors, and hospitals, serving as part of the national defense counsel teams for medical device manufacturers in multi-district federal litigation cases. She, therefore, has a thorough knowledge of personal injury cases from both sides.
Kristine has been named one of the “Top 100” Super Lawyers in Northern California as well as one of the “Top 50” women lawyers by Thomson Reuters and San Francisco Magazine. She’s also been named one of San Francisco’s 10 best personal injury lawyers by Forbes. She is currently an officer of the American Association for Justice and the Santa Clara County Bar Association. She is also a member of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association and serves on the Board of Governors for the Consumer Attorneys of California. She is a former chair of the Minority Issues Committee of the San Francisco Bar Association Barrister Club.
