Amazing law firm. Matthew provided extensive information from the start to finish of my green card process leaving no details untouched as well as keeping in touch and answering any queries I had in a very quick professional manner - as well as explaining everything in depth. Also they helped with filing our paperwork which was a lifesaver. If you are looking for an attorney, look no further! Highly recommended! They will guide you through the process with ease.

My experience with Mr. Springmeyer was above and beyond what I thought it would be, he and Carmen were both thoughtful and helpful throughout my whole immigration process. They answered every question and concern that I came across, making sure that everything went smoothly. My case involved some complicated issues which made me nervous but they handled everything so well that even the immigration officers commented what a good job my lawyer had done. They made sure I was comfortable and prepared for every step of the process. They did an amazing job and their service is worth every cent. I will always be grateful for having him as my attorney and recommend them 100 percent. Thank you guys for making me smile again !!!

Matthew and his team have been fantastic every step of the way. Matthew is highly knowledgeable, diligent and communicative. His experience shines through in his work and his interactions with his clients. He has helped me achieve my dream of becoming a US citizen, and I couldn't have asked for a better lawyer. Even when he was unavailable, his team could help with any questions I had. Thank you so much, Matthew and the whole team!

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
