Attorney Information
Overview
Kristi practices family law out of our Sacramento and Roseville offices. Her focus on family law reflects a deliberate choice: after building a career in public-sector and civil litigation work, she sought the direct, one-on-one client advocacy where a lawyer can make a tangible difference in people's lives.
That perspective is grounded in substantial experience across government and litigation. As Deputy City Attorney for the City of Lincoln, Kristi advised the City Council and municipal departments, drafts and negotiates ordinances and contracts, and manages the city's litigation portfolio; work spanning civil rights, employment, and personal injury matters. Her earlier civil litigation experience in private practice adds a working command of motion practice and courtroom procedure. Together, this background gives her a broad command of the law and a steady professional presence, which she now brings to the financial and interpersonal complexities that family law demands.
Kristi graduated magna cum laude from Lincoln Law School of Sacramento. During law school she externed for Presiding Justice Laurie Earl of the California Third District Court of Appeal, served as President of the Women's Justice Society, and served as Dean of the Delta Theta Phi legal fraternity. Selected after earning top grades in the course, she also taught Community Property as a student teacher, early evidence of her facility with the financial frameworks central to California family law.
Before law school, Kristi served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in Placer County, advocating for children in the foster care system in court and in collaboration with social workers, counsel, and school staff, an early expression of the client-centered advocacy that now defines her practice.
As a mother herself, Kristi understands that family law calls for more than technical mastery. It requires attention to the human circumstances behind every case. That understanding makes her a protective, trusted advocate for the families she represents.
