San Jose Insurance Law Firm
Overview
Since 1984 I have specialized in representing plaintiffs in civil litigation in both state and federal courts all over the State of California . I have also represented clients in association with local counsel in Nevada, Arizona, Oregon and Washington. Consultations are always free and without obligation, and most cases I accept are handled on a contingent fee basis (ie.,there is no fee unless there is a successful outcome to your case). Call me with your questions, and I would be happy to speak with you about your legal problem without charging you a fee.
I take great pride in representing honest people who need an able, ethical and compassionate lawyer who understands their legal problems as well as their human concerns. I do my best to de-mystify the legal process so that my clients understand the issues involved in their case, and to educate them so they can make intelligent decisions in these important matters.
My job is to serve you and to maximize your chance of obtaining fair and adequate compensation for your loss, given the unique circumstances of your case. While I cannot promise miracles, I can pledge to always work professionally and diligently for you, and to ensure that you understand what I am doing, and why I am doing it.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
