Chad Prentice is a founder/partner of the law offices of Maho & Prentice, LLP, with offices in Santa Barbara and Oxnard, California and has been practicing law for 26 years. His focus is in the area of civil ligation, primarily representing plaintiffs in personal injury matters (automobile, truck, pedestrian, bicycle accidents), premises liability (slip/trip and fall), product liability, wrongful death, and medical malpractice cases. Mr. Prentice's background includes many years as primary litigation counsel for several Fortune 100 companies throughout California. He is a former member of ABOTA, having tried approximately 30 civil jury trials to verdict.
Since its inception in 2004, the law firm of Maho & Prentice, LLP has obtained verdicts and settlements for its clients in excess of $65,000,000.
Mr. Prentice is an active member of his community. He has served as an elected board member for the Hope Elementary School District in Santa Barbara. He previously served for many years as vice president for Cornerstone House, a non-profit home for developmentally disabled children and young adults. He has coached basketball for the Page Youth Center for 14 years, soccer for both the YMCA and AYSO and baseball at Goleta Valley Little League. He has also been an active member on the Santa Barbara County Bar Association and is an active member with his son in Boy’s Team Charity.
