Guiding Families Through Change
If your marriage is ending, and you want an affordable and timely solution, Kishinevsky & Raykin, Attorneys at Law, can help. We represent husbands, wives and families who are facing a broad spectrum of family law issues, including those related to divorce and child custody. Located in Aurora, Colorado, our firm serves clients in Centennial, Highlands Ranch and throughout Douglas County and Arapahoe County.
Trustworthy Attorneys Focused On Finding Solutions
Our attorneys are dedicated to helping couples and families struggling with divorce and other emotional family law matters to resolve their problems and move forward with their lives. With each family we work with, we strive to minimize the conflict and work efficiently to streamline the legal process.
While we are zealous advocates in the courtroom, we do not escalate matters when it is counterproductive. We are often able to assist our clients in avoiding the uncertainty, stress and expense of litigation by using negotiation and mediation to find creative out-of-court solutions. Our office is small, so we can provide each client with the focused attention and personal service that is difficult to find in larger firms. At our firm, you will always work directly with your attorney — not with a paralegal.
Attorney Igor Raykin · Understanding And Sensitive To Children's Needs
There are few events that are more emotional or life-changing than divorce — especially for children. It is helpful to have an attorney who has experience working with children and who can advise you on ways to protect your children's well-being during this difficult time.
After graduating from law school, our principal family law attorney, Igor Raykin, spent 10 years working with children in the public education system. He began as a social studies teacher, and then went on to work for six years at a juvenile detention facility for children ages 14-20. Igor left that position to start a school for homeless children. He also served as an administrator in charge of discipline at Denver West High School.
Having devoted much of his life to helping children in need, Igor has unique insight into how children cope with emotional situations like divorce. He works closely with clients throughout the divorce process to help them make the decisions that are truly in their children's best interest.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
