Overview

Jerry Manzer was raised in Springfield, Nebraska. He graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and is a Gulf War Era Veteran. He received his law degree from the University of Denver School of Law in 2003. Mr. Manzer was licensed to practice law in Colorado in 2004. He proudly served as a Deputy Colorado State Public Defender for two years prior to entering private practice.

Mr. Manzer’ practice is evolving. Mr. Manzer got his start handling criminal cases. He spent several years specializing in serious felony litigation (homicide and sexual assault), misdemeanors, DUI and traffic. Mr. Manzer has tried cases before juries in Weld, Lincoln, Broomfield, Morgan and Yuma Counties from simple DUI's to complex 1st Degree Murder cases.

Today, Mr. Manzer focuses more on family law matters, including divorce, allocation of parental rights and responsibilities, post-decree issues and dependency/ neglect actions, adoptions, name changes.

Mr. Manzer is a strong proponent of community service. He assists vulnerable populations by volunteering his legal knowledge for Weld County Legal Services. He also has served on multiple community boards. He is currently the Co-Chair of the Board Salida Del Sol Academy.

In his spare time, Mr. Manzer dabbles in photography, learning to play guitar, camping with his wife and daughter.
