Verified ClientHired Attorney 2012We started with Attorney Eric Polinsky in 2008 and case ended 2012. The law firm went over and beyond our expectations. Eric was always professional, kind, understanding and very knowledgeable in all our dealings and conversations. He knows the law and was persistant with our case all the way until the end. We highly recommend Eric.

Verified ClientHired Attorney 2011I was driving my SantaFe to drop my daughter for taking her train to Manhattan. All of a sudden I was hit on the rare left side. I was able to navigate to the left and ensure the vehicle does not topple. I was in hospital and my daughter was also injured but not much. It was a three vehicle accident. Two drivers behind me got ticket. Since the two insurance companies created problem and at that time I enquired for an attorney and was recommended to Mr. Eric A Polinsky. He was a great help right from the first day. He is humane, understands the problem, recommended me to the right doctors. He always gave me and my daughter advise as if he was a family. No body would wish to get involved in a motor vehicle accident, but then, in such a case, I would recommend him because of his legal knowledge and humane approach. Thanks. ... Aniel

Verified ClientHired Attorney 2011Eric Polinsky was great to work with. He is the type of attorney you want. He listens to his clients about their situation, and advisors you on how you should proceed. Whenever I called or had a question Eric or someone from his office was there to answer it. I would highly recommend Eric.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
