Overview
Kyle Zrenda is a Director on the firm's civil litigation team, practicing in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice, tribal law, and insurance law. He was admitted to the New York Bar in 2013, and the Connecticut Bar in 2014. He is also admitted to practice in Federal District Courts for the District of Connecticut, as well as those for the Southern, Eastern, and Northern Districts of New York. In 2021, Attorney Zrenda was admitted to practice before the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Court and the Mohegan Gaming Disputes Court.
Attorney Zrenda handles personal injury cases, representing those harmed by negligent motorists, property owners, and medical providers. As a member of the bars of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Court and the Mohegan Gaming Disputes Court, he also represents people who have been injured at the Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods casinos.
Prior to joining Suisman Shapiro, Attorney Zrenda worked at a New York insurance defense firm where he focused his practice on construction site accidents, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, and health care law. In his previous role, Attorney Zrenda defended physicians, nurses, medical groups, hospitals, property owners, general contractors, and subcontractors throughout New York and Connecticut. His experience defending personal injury claims provides Attorney Zrenda with invaluable insight in his current role representing injured individuals. Prior to entering private practice, Kyle served as a clerk and law clerk to the Connecticut Judicial Branch.
Attorney Zrenda is a native of East Lyme, Connecticut, and currently resides in Old Lyme. He received his B.A. from Boston College in 2010 and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2013 where he was an Associate Editor of the Quinnipiac Law Review. During law school, Kyle interned with the State's Attorney's Office in New London, Connecticut, where he aided in the prosecution of misdemeanors and felonies from arraignment to appeal.
Since 2017, Attorney Zrenda has been recognized by Super Lawyers ®as a "Rising Star" in the area of personal injury law; no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in each state are chosen for this honor. He has also been recognized by U.S. News & World Report's Best Lawyers in America - "Ones to Watch" since 2021.
