Early in her career, she served as the Former Assistant Attorney General at the Florida Office of the Attorney General. She has also functioned as the Assistant State Attorney at the 7th Circuit of Florida.

She is an active part of the Family Law Section and the Family Law Rules Committee of The Florida Bar. Additionally, she is a member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Florida Association of Women Lawyers (Manatee & Sarasota Chapters), the Manatee County Bar Association and the Fred G. Minnis Sr. Bar Association.
