I was involved in a serious car crash and after speaking with multiple attorneys, I hired Matthew McGuigan of Mill Stone Legal Group to represent me. It was the best decision I ever made and he got me the best results I could have ever imagined. He was in constant contact with me throughout the case, including always keeping me up to date on the progress of the case. He is a bull dog and fought tooth and nail to get me the most money possible for my injuries and lost wages. If you want a winner who will fight for you, hire Matthew McGuigan of Mill Stone Legal Group, and his excellent team.

I can’t say enough about Matthew McGuigan and his team at Mill Stone Legal Group. I was involved in a major auto accident and the insurance company refused to pay me for my injuries claiming the accident was my fault! Mr. McGuigan took my case and went to bat for me against the insurance company. He was able to get the insurance company to accept liability for the accident and got me the full policy limits of the driver that hit me. He did a great job and would never use any other attorney. I refer all my friend and family to Mr. McGuigan for all their legal matters.

Excellent attorney and will never use anybody else!! Matthew McGuigan, Esq. fought extremely hard to get me the settlement I deserved after I got hit by a careless driver. He communicated with me throughout the entire process, kept me informed and I never felt so comfortable and at ease during the entire process. I can't say enough about Mr. McGuigan and I would highly recommend him for any and all legal matters. Best attorney ever!!

Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
