Overview
Amanda Mitteer Bartley was born in Brattleboro, Vermont. She graduated with honors from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Science in 2000. While attending the University of Vermont, Amanda was inducted into Kappa Delta Pi (International Honor’s Society) and Kappa Alpha Theta. She also served as a member of Alpha Phi Omega (National Community Service Organization), the Emerging Leaders Program, and Volunteers in Action. She interned for United States Senator James M. Jeffords, studied biology for the Smithsonian Institute at the El Eden Ecological Reserve in Mexico, and also student taught Public Speaking, 9th Grade Accelerated English, and Word Studies at a local high school. Amanda graduated from the University of New Hampshire School of Law (formerly known as Franklin Pierce Law Center) in 2003. While attending there, Amanda interned for the Judicial Arbitration Mediation Services(JAMS) firm and the United States Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights in Boston. She received American Bar Association mediation awards at various law school competitions. Amanda also served on the Class Council and was selected as the Head Teaching Assistant for the LL.M. students at her law school for Legal Research & Writing and Moot Court. In 2005, Amanda received Congressional Honors in California and Vermont for her impressive record of academic and civic accomplishments.
Amanda represents clients throughout the Southwest Florida area. She practices in the areas of Workers’ Compensation Defense, General Insurance Defense Litigation, and Civil Litigation. She is a member of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Florida Bar Association. Amanda was the President of the Young Lawyers Division of the Lee County Bar Association and currently serves as Recruitment Chair. She is also Co-Chair of the Social Committee of the Lee County Bar Association. Amanda is an Associate of the Calusa Inns of Court.
