Jessica will and sale you on a won case. Jessica and her staff are not honest. Jessica literally argued with me 20 minutes prior to court and when asked for clarification she was deemed incorrect by the judge. Jessica argues she has been doing this for 10 years but it must have been with no field work. Jessica has caused me to loose my son in a unjust custody issue as she improperly quoted the law and stumbled over her words. Just as she reviews calls I to recorded all our calls and she promises but never comply. In 4 months nothing done, nothing filed. The one thing she did file to be removed was done incorrectly. This "attorney" is detrimental to a family law case. Seems incompetent and unaware of the law among with unwilling to do anything but collect the money. I WOULD SAY PRO SE BEFORE JESSICA CHERY!

Please do not ever contact this lawyer for anything you need. They will not deliver. Her entire staff will let you down. And most importantly you will lose your time. They’re money hungry and do not work. Lazy individuals. Horrible experience. You’ll find many more qualified individuals i promise. Don’t waste your time with this practice. They will never return your calls and you will have to call them, reschedule your appointments 2-3 times. They are horrible. I can’t stress it enough. There are people who study their whole lives to be an exceptional lawyer. This one is not it.

When viewing a listing, consider the state advertising restrictions to which lawyers and law firms must adhere, as well as our FindLaw.com Legal Directory disclaimer. Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
