Overview

Gary S. Lesser served as the 74th President of The Florida Bar and is Managing Partner of Lesser, Landy, Smith & Siegel, PLLC, a third-generation law firm with nearly a century of experience successfully fighting for injured clients and their families across Florida.

Gary is one of Florida’s foremost personal injury attorneys, leading a team of skilled trial lawyers who practice law with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to personal client service and getting the best results on cases.

Gary’s dedication to The Florida Bar is longstanding, with over 25 years of service, including more than a decade on the Board of Governors, and chairing the Legislation and Professional Ethics committees and receiving the Florida Bar President’s Award in 2017 and 2022.

Gary is highly respected in the legal field and often serves as a guest lecturer and commentator on personal injury and professional ethics in the local and national media. He is a dedicated community servant and currently serves as Founding President of the Jewish Lawyers Association of Palm Beach County, on the Board of Trustees of the Florida Supreme Court Historical Society, the Executive Board of the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce, and the Board of Directors of The Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County, the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County, the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches, the Economic Council of Palm Beach County, and Young Singers of the Palm Beaches.

Gary has been recognized for his leadership in the legal professional and charitable world, being awarded the Alumni Leadership Award from the University of Miami School of Law, the Luminary Award from the Alpert Jewish Family Services, the Florida Bar Tradition of Excellence Award and the 2024 Sidney A. Stubbs Professionalism Award from the Palm Beach County Bar Association.

A native of West Palm Beach, Gary graduated from Forest Hill High School before earning a degree in International Affairs from The George Washington University. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law, where he was a member of the Bar & Gavel Society, and he served as Editor-in-Chief of the law school’s newspaper.

Gary is happily married to his wife, Jennifer, and is the proud father of three daughters, Lillian, Josie and Rebecca.
