Overview
Maya is a graduate of Atlanta's John Marshall Law School, where she served on the Student Bar Association and worked as a Constitutional Law Research Assistant. Maya also earned the Cali Excellence for the Future Award in her Pre-Trial Practice and Procedure class and was awarded the Custer-Tuggle Excellence in Family Law Award.
While in law school, Maya gained courtroom experience in The Stone Mountain Conflict Defender's Office representing defendants accused of felony crimes under the Second Year Practice Act. However, since 2019 she has exclusively focused her legal career on family law issues. Maya has experience in legitimations and all stages of the dissolution process, including child custody, spousal and child support, asset division, and domestic violence restraining orders.
Maya understands that her clients are often going through one of the most challenging transitions of their lives. As such, she is dedicated to providing compassionate legal counsel while at the same time being the strongest advocate for her clients.
When Maya is not practicing law, she enjoys spending time with her family, watching crime shows, and trying new restaurants.
