Overview
An Illinois Law Firm Dedicated to Protecting the Rights of
Injured Workers Statewide and Accident Victims in the Chicago Area
At the Law Offices of Millon & Peskin, we put more than 40 years of combined legal experience on the side of people who have been injured at work or because of the negligence of others. This experience with workers' compensation and personal injury claims has done nothing however, to lessen the impact of what we see people and families struggle with every day as a result. Instead, our experience strengthens our conviction that we must fight for these victims' rights with as much preparation, skill and vigor as possible.
A Commitment to Providing Aggressive
Legal Advocacy and Caring Personal Service
Whether we are helping a client complete an initial application for workers' compensation benefits or pursuing a wrongful death claim, our approach is premised on the belief that going to court will be necessary to achieve a satisfying result. In our experience, this type of aggressive approach provides the best opportunity to reach reasonable settlement terms through negotiation.
We are equally committed to providing each client with direct access to their attorney and to maintaining close communication throughout the legal process. By taking time to understand the individual needs of each client and by helping our clients understand the often complex laws governing their case — we provide better representation. Our clients also feel much more comfortable and in control of their own futures. In our experience, clients who are included in the process in this way are also much more likely to be satisfied with the outcome of their case.
Our Practice
Our lawyers represent injured workers statewide at all stages of the claims and appeals process. We have helped people with work-related injuries and illnesses of all types, including medical conditions resulting from chemical exposure and from repetitive stress (carpal tunnel syndrome and others). We have also had particularly extensive experience representing workers from the construction industry and other blue collar, heavy labor or trade occupations. In each case, we aggressively seek all of the compensation and benefits our clients are entitled to under the law.
Our personal injury practice is primarily focused on cases in the Chicago metropolitan area. Our clients include individuals who've been injured as the result of car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, construction accidents, medical malpractice and other causes. We also pursue survival actions and wrongful death claims on behalf of decedents and surviving family members.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
