Indianapolis Personal Injury Lawyer
Overview
Colin Flora has a mind that is always at work-as evidenced by his lengthy resume' of academic accomplishments and published legal writings. Visit our blog and see for yourself.
Colin would say that his work ethic comes from growing up next door to his grandfather in Northern Indiana. His intellect, from his parents-both high school math teachers.
He is someone who exemplifies the benefits of growing up in a midwestern environment that values hard work and disciplined study.
As an undergrad at IU South Bend, Colin attended classes as one of the inaugural class of Indiana University's Herbert Presidential Scholars. He completed his studies a year early, earning high distinctions while also working as a research assistant.
He then enrolled in Indiana University's Robert H. McKinney School of Law, graduating with honors in 2011, and landing a series of highly coveted clerkships -one with the Hamilton County Prosecutors office and after, with a prominent Indianapolis law firm.
Colin is a legal strategist with remarkable instincts for uncovering what others miss. His is the kind of bright legal mind that Eric Pavlack had in mind when he started the firm.
Colin's experience and reputation as an attorney with a rich understanding of how to dissect court decisions and evidentiary practices make him a formidable opponent in complex legal matters and the kind of attorney you want on your side.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
