Noblesville Criminal Defense Law Firm

Overview

Jason Jackson is the founding partner of Defend Indiana and is a lifelong Hoosier. For over two decades Jason has dedicated his career to serving clients throughout central Indiana, using his skills in negotiation and courtroom advocacy to get the best possible outcomes for his clients.

Jason grew up in Frankfort, Indiana and attended Frankfurt High School where he served as class president. Jason went on to graduate with honors Magna Cum Laude/Phi Beta Kappa in 1997 from nearby Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana, specifically selecting Wabash for the school’s outstanding reputation in the legal community. Jason prepared for his legal career by earning honors as the top advocate in the Moot Court competition and received the prestigious David Peck Jr award for promise in the study of law

Jason studied law at the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in Bloomington. Upon graduation and passing the Indiana Bar in 2000, Jason accepted a position with Price Waterhouse Coopers, LLP - the sixth largest professional services firm in the world at the time. Missing the courtroom, Jason later accepted a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Don Ash of Rutherford County, Tennessee and the Tennessee Court of Appeals. After returning to Indiana, Jason served as an associate with Ryan, Moore, Cook & Hunter in Frankfort, Indiana before forming a solo criminal defense practice in Noblesville, Indiana in 2002.

Prior to founding Defend Indiana, Jason enjoyed a successful solo practice. He maintains two brick-and-mortar offices (Noblesville & Lafayette) and has over 135 FIVE STAR Google reviews.

Jason lives in Noblesville with his wife Kelly, and daughter Madison.

I was very happy with Jason Jackson’s representation. I had a serious speeding violation. Jason was able to get the charges significantly reduced.

Jason Jackson is the best lawyer I have ever dealt with. Knows and understands the law. Jason worked with me for a couple years on a case and I worried less about the out come of it because he insured me I didn’t have to worry and was right. Great lawyer, great person, and way more than a lawyer!!

Justin, it was my pleasure to help you. It took a long time to finish the process, but your acquittal on all charges was the outcome you deserved!

I have spent the past 3years trapped in the justice system. The justice system is overwhelmed with too many laws and therefore to many criminalized citizens. The justice system is a machine that processes people like accounted process paper work. My life and my family has been all but destroyed. I have had three different criminal attorneys and as you can imagine I have learned that you get what you pay for. I should have hired Jason Jackson from the start. He is hard, he is firm, he is not without compassion. He respects your financial resources and he is capable of putting up a big fight. Jason kept me grounded in reality through all of my emotional outbursts to achieve the best outcome in a broken justice system. Of all of my attorneys, both criminal and civil, Jason Jackson was the easiest to contact and communicate with. I was baffled by his ability to quickly communicate via phone or text. One time he even sent a text back while he was in court! Jason thank you for everything.

Ryan, it was my pleasure to help you through this process. I know the court system can be very frustrating, especially considering how long it takes to get to a final resolution, but patience is important in getting the best outcomes!

I contacted Mr. Jackson about an upcoming case in Tippecanoe County. From the notification I recieved, it seemed like a much bigger deal than it was and I was thinking I needed an attorney. I spoke with Mr. Jackson and he went over the process and what would likely happen once I got to court and that information completly set me at ease. He could have easily taken my money to represent me in this matter, but he gave me an honest assesment of my situation and told me I didn't need his services and he did not want to take my money for something I could easily handle myself. He was right and I was in and out of the courthouse in and hour with the result he predicted. I sincerly appreciate his honesty and council in this matter and I was not charged for that initial consultation. I will keep his number in case I need it again in the future and I highly recommend him to anyone who thinks they may need legal representation.

I found Mr. Jackson online when I was in search for a lawyer to help me out with a couple of different matters involving my HTV driving status. He was able to help my get my SDP reinstated. He was also able to get me a better plea agreement than I ever thought was possible for my Driving while HTV charge. I can’t thank him enough. I thought for sure this situation was going to set me back from how much I’ve grown over the last several years, but Jason made sure that didn’t happen. He is worth every single penny!

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
