Steve grew up in Kokomo, Indiana. Steve graduated from Indiana University at Bloomington and earned a B.S. degree (with honors in chemistry). During college, Steve worked in a co-operative study program at General Electric, plastics division, where he worked in a chemical lab. After college, Steve attended law school at Indiana University-Indianapolis, graduating in 1992.

Steve represents individuals seriously hurt by the negligence or intentional wrongful acts of others. His practice focuses in the area of serious personal injury, including injuries resulting from nursing home negligence. His work proudly includes serving as co-counsel to successfully obtaining insurance coverage for a liver transplant wrongfully denied and seeing that client get the transplant.

Steve has been lead counsel in multiple jury and bench trials, representing clients who have been seriously injured in semi truck, car and motorcycle collisions. He has also represented clients injured from dangerous premises, dog bites and from other wrongful acts. Steve also has been actively involved in estate planning and probate administration since 1994. He has drafted hundreds of wills and trusts. He has represented numerous clients through probate and trust administrations. In addition to wills and trusts, Steve has drafted numerous business and health care related powers of attorney and Living Wills.
