The law firm of Fuerste, Carew, Juergens & Sudmeier, P.C., is a general practice firm, located in Dubuque, Iowa, and serving clients throughout the tri-state area of northeast Iowa, southwest Wisconsin, and northeast Illinois. We have been located in our present location, on the second floor of the Graham Building on the corner of 9th and Main Streets in downtown Dubuque, since May, 2017.
The historical roots of this law firm date to 1854 and the law firm of Cooley & Adams. The recent history of this firm starts with the formation of Fuerste & Carew by William C. Fuerste and Allan J. Carew in 1965. The firm and its predecessors have focused upon the needs of the people with and for whom it works, and to serve those needs, the firm has developed a broad range of practice areas, including litigation in the areas of personal injury, workers compensation, insurance, business, construction and architecture, sports and recreation, products liability, professional liability, real estate and condemnation, mediation and arbitration; commercial services to individuals and business entities in business planning, contract negotiation, media law, management, mergers and acquisitions, banking, employment, civil rights and discrimination, debtor-creditor relations and bankruptcy; family law; education law; health care; municipal and zoning law; probate, wills, trusts and estate planning; taxation; and real estate, the broad range of activities in which people engage throughout their lives.
