Representative Matters:
- Bad Debt Collection: Represented a creditor in collecting a long-outstanding debt from a non-responsive debtor. Initiated action with ex parte attachments that prompted the defendant to prioritize our client in resolving the debt, resulting in a favorable settlement and payment to our client.
- Reach and Apply Injunctions: Represented building supplier owed payment from the subcontractor. Obtained injunction ordering all payments due from the general contractor to subcontractor be paid directly to our client.
- Judgment Enforcement: Represented a holder of an out-of-state judgment against a Massachusetts debtor. Obtained ex parte bank attachment, resulting in payment to our client.
- Ex Parte Attachment: Represented a rental equipment provider against a commercial defendant for services rendered. Secured an ex parte attachment that froze the defendant's bank account. Despite the defendant's continued efforts to avoid the debt, our client received full payment as a result of our successful bank attachment.
- Aggressive Representation: Represented a technology company in a breach of contract case against a Fortune 500 company. After filing suit seeking prejudgment security attachments and injunctions, an 18-month-old debt was resolved in a matter of weeks resulting in full payment of the principal, interest, and attorney's fees.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
