Medway Divorce, including mediation, litigation and collaborative law Firm
Overview
At The Divorce Collaborative LLC, our Franklin and Bedford Massachusetts, family law lawyers and divorce mediators believe that a divorce is not an ending, but a transition to a new stage of your life. This transition may carry stress and anxiety, but with the right family law attorney, you will not feel as though you have to carry this load all on your own.
We handle divorce and family law cases exclusively, including child support and custody, parenting plans, paternity, alimony, divorce, prenuptial agreements, and domestic violence and restraining orders. In each of these areas we strive to resolve your family law conflict, not create more of it. To that end, we work closely with clients to explore the best way to solve their problems, whether through divorce mediation, collaborative divorce, or litigation.
Our approach to family law is personal, experienced and caring. We are determined to help you through the entire process, from start to finish, devoting all the necessary time and energy. If you believe that divorce is not the answer, we are even able to assist you on your journey with thoughtful mediation to stay married. We believe that this level of service combined with our experience and focus will ultimately result in the best possible outcome for you and your family.
Serving the counties of Middlesex, Norfolk, Worcester, Suffolk, and Bristol, attorneys at our firm are available weekends and evenings. Our initial consultation fee is $150 and we offer free seminars. How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
