Overview

Attorney Kathleen Brown has been licensed in the state of Massachusetts for over 20 years and has spent her entire career in the area of Family Law. She devotes the majority of her practice to all matters involving family law including divorce, custody, child support, modification and contempt actions as well as matters involving unwed parents. Kathleen is also well versed in the law involving equity matters including those involving non-traditional families as well as guardianship matters, both for minor children and incapacitated individuals.

Prior to joining Callahan | Inman, Kathleen spent the majority of her career working in the Probate Courts of Massachusetts with countless Justice of the Court. Kathleen first served as a law clerk to the Justices where she gained a deep understanding of the law perfected her writing skills having written countless decisions for the Justices for whom she clerked. After a brief period of time practicing at a large law firm in Boston, Kathleen returned to the Trial Court and served as an Assistant Judicial Case Manager and Judicial Case Manager for over 17 years. Kathleen has intimate knowledge of the inner workings of the Court and had the pleasure of working hand in hand with over 20 different Judges who presided over family and probate matters. Kathleen is excited to draw on this experience to help her clients through what is often the most trying experience of their lives. Kathleen is a fierce advocate and is guided by what her client's objectives are while giving them realistic expectations.

In her spare time, Kathleen enjoys spending time with family and friends, her four nieces and nephews, her two cats and many foster kittens. She is an avid runner, having completed six marathons including the Boston Marathon and has raised thousands of dollars in support of Multiple Sclerosis, Dana Farber and the National Ovarian Cancer coalition. Kathy likes to escape to the White Mountains of New Hampshire and is currently pursing hiking the 48,4000 foot mountains.
