Scott M. Sierzenga - Clinton Township, MI

Scott M. Sierzenga graduated from Eisenhower High School in Shelby Township. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Journalism from Western Michigan University while a member of its collegiate baseball team. In 2013, Mr. Sierzenga received his Juris Doctor from University of Detroit Mercy School of Law (cum laude). He excelled in law school as a member of the Dean's Honor Society and recipient of the Who's Who among American Colleges and Universities listing. He also placed first in the Ernie Goodman Trial Advocacy Competition.

Mr. Sierzenga began his career at Ziulkowski & Associates where he assisted in bankruptcy litigation disputes. He continued to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office where he assisted in the child abuse and homicide divisions. In 2011, Mr. Sierzenga joined Kirk, Huth, Lange & Badalamenti, PLC as a law clerk. He was offered the position of Associate Attorney upon graduation from law school and is now a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Macomb County Bar Association.

His practice includes state and federal litigation matters with a focus in municipal law, contract disputes, and corporate litigation. Mr. Sierzenga is also affiliated with Project Salute which provides free legal assistance to low income United States Veterans. Mr. Sierzenga's work with Project Salute has taken him across the country, including the 2013 Veteran Stand-Down in Phoenix Arizona. In his spare time, he continues to play competitive softball and hardball. He is also an avid Detroit Tigers fan and enjoys horse racing and reading.
