These f**** will steal your money, do NO work, not even have a lawyer talk to you after they take your money. You are farmed out to some non-lawyer that then demands that you do all their work for them. In my case--I ended up resolving my own case. I had 1 conversation with their failed PhD non-lawyer, and a couple of emails. After I resolved my case within 1 week of hiring them, I asked for my money back. They basically told me to go f*** myself. In violation of state law of California, Michigan and Arizona, they didn't even give me a billing breakdown to show me where the $5K I gave them went.

Amanda was excellent. She was very responsive. She answered all my questions and, in some cases, calmed me down. Unfortunately, k altmsn did miss a major deadline, however, I was able to do the written answer to the Code of Conduct Committee because I went to schol for paralegal studies. Many would not have been able to do this. This does not affect my positive view of K Altman or Dr. Stewart. Mistakes are human and, overall, I am very happy with the prompt, professional, informed, educated, and exceptional care that Dr. Stewart gave me. I am, ultimately, very pleased and satisfied and would recommend k altman for any COC issue. Thank you kbaltman and Dr Stewart

Excellent service! It is definitely top-of-the-line. I was able to talk to a lawyer on the same day that I contacted the law firm, and she was very helpful. I was assigned to a student defense advisor/educational advisor (Ms. Mallory Jones) very early in the process. She was AMAZING! She was fully supportive and extremely helpful all along the way. She gave me excellent advice, and she was always available to help. I would highly recommend this firm!

I highly recommend the service of K Altman Law! Dr. Wright at Keith Altman Law has been an incredible advocate and mentor to my son during this very difficult ordeal. My son, while meeting academic standards was unfairly removed from his research position that sabotaged his future opportunity to continue his graduate study. K Altman Law agreed to take the case and I am so glad that he did! Dr. Wright oversaw the case. He took the time to understand our situation and take action with the school where it was needed. The involvement of K Altman Law opened the path for my son who is now back on the path to earning his PhD degree. Dr. Wright continued to follow up with my son and mentor him as a young adult. I know my son’s situation would not have been corrected without the excellent service of Dr. Wright and K Altman Law. Keith and Dr. Robert, Thank you! If you find yourself or your child in a similar situation, please reach out to K Altman Law!

Keith Altman has been an outstanding attorney for our family during one of the most difficult times of our lives. When our special needs child was injured because of a nursing agency’s negligence, we felt overwhelmed and unsure of what to do. From the very beginning, Keith stepped in with confidence and compassion, guiding us through the legal process every step of the way. What stood out the most was how much he truly cared about our child and our family. He took the time to listen to our concerns, kept us informed, and worked tirelessly to hold those responsible accountable. Keith’s dedication and attention to detail gave us hope and reassurance during a very dark time. If you’re looking for an attorney who will fight for your family with passion, skill, and heart, I can’t recommend Keith Altman enough. He made a real difference for us, and we’ll always be grateful for his support.

Dr. Ruiz at Keith Altman Law has been an incredible advocate for my family during a very difficult time with my son. From our first consultation, it was clear that she truly cares and pays close attention to every detail. She has gone above and beyond to understand our situation and take action where it’s needed most. I’ve also had the privilege of working with my advocate, Sarah Lhotak, and together, they’ve fought for my child’s rights with the same passion and determination as if he were their own. They listen, they care, and they act quickly. If you’re looking for someone to stand by your side for education law issues, I can’t recommend Dr. Ruiz and Keith Altman Law enough. They are a team you can trust when it matters most.

K Altman Law proved very responsive to our inquiries for help from Day 1. They were courteous and respectful of the timelines and in scheduling consultation. After consultation we were appointed with our advocate, Mr. Eric Counts. Mr. Counts listened, researched, and combed through all of the fine details of our case, helping us to advocate for academic solutions in line with our son's proactive IEP planning despite adverse opposition from a key member of the ARC committee. Mr. Counts masterfully articulated our concerns and requests (student and parents) that had been previously ignored by school administrations. Mr. Counts' expertise, precision, and care delivered the best possible outcome for continuing the success of our son's IEP annual review and ARC cohesion, alleviating our son's stress (during the meeting and afterward), as well as our parental stress, in order for our son to step back onto the path to a strong academic finish for the remainder of the school year. I highly recommend Mr. Counts and K Altman Law!

I had a pleasant experience with this firm. I worked with attorney Eric Counts who navigated the communication between the school and I effectively. He managed to gain us the desired outcome in no time and I was very pleased with his work. I will be using this firm again in the future.

Bobbie was amazing from start to finish. Our son and I were struggling with our school system who did not seem to want to advocate in helping him with his ADHD. It was not until we brought our "Advocate" on board that they took us serious and started giving my son access to resources he desparately needed. We updated him from a 504 plan to an IEP that met everyone's standards. I highly recomend at least completing a consultation with this firm to know what your rights are as a parent and student!!

Not worth the money. If you need assistance with iep?s use someone local who understands the school system in your area. The school had to spend half the meeting explaining the way the school system works to the advocate. She would recommend things only to be told that it didn?t meet the criteria to be in certain categories. I felt like those were things the advocate should?ve known.

I originally hired the K Altman law team to help with problems at my son?s school. They were the only ones to respond in the time I needed and seamed knowledgeable. But as things continued, they seamed to constantly forget the details of my case. At one point they even started to close out my case forgetting a meeting still scheduled with the school. There efforts seamed to help the school trying to remove my child instead of advocating for him. When I started to insist, they take action to help they told me they could not guarantee outcomes. Finally, just days before the final hearing they told me they would no longer help and dropped my case. Turns out this was the best thing they could have done. Once I could no longer rely on the advocates help, I took the actions I had been asking her to do. I was able to keep my son in place for the rest of the school year and even got the district to write special accommodations I had asked for. If I had never hired K Altman law it would have gone so much better and saved me thousands of dollars. I don?t think anyone should ever rely on K Altman law team for help.

Thank you very much Keith and Tim for helping my son with the med school dismissal. We truly appreciate the effort your firm has put into this whole process. We believed you at first sight when we hired your firm, and we had great feeling throughout the process that the end is going to be unbelievable with the success my son deserves to back into the school. We hope that GOD does not put my son in this situation again! We would sure recommend anyone needing your support to achieve someone else who may be suffering without the knowledge of your firm being around. I have worked with Tanner brooks at Keith Altman Law on an academic integrity matters that took place at my university. Tanner was the first to recognize miscommunication and later on retaliation having been taken place as well as biases. Tanner supported me fully throughout the process of the appeal, the appeal hearing for my cases as well as approaching the legal counsel. This firm is there foryour needs as a student in a university when in trouble they know the ins and outs of the university disciplinary process and how schools think amidst these often unfair processes. I would thoroughly recommend them to you and particularly Tanner Brooks and Keith Altman, Timothy Markley, and Richard Gill who are there with you as a team to fight the school in these unfair and often times arbitrary biased processes.

There were positives and negatives. The system is set up in a manner in which you initially talk to a sales/scheduling employee. The sales person made it sound like my case was something they could easily handle so I was open to the higher consultation fee. They were very prompt in answering communications and it was easy to set up the consultation. It was $350 for a consult which must be paid before scheduling. It was conducted by phone and lasted about 20 minutes. They may be a good choice in certain locations or circumstances but weren’t able to help me with basic services to set up IEP’s for my daughter’s.

I could not thank Tanner Brooks enough for helping me with a dispute at my University. I wouldn't have been able to continue with my nursing program without his hard work and dedication. During the three months of working with Tanner, the process was seamless. Although my situation was not good, he made it bearable. I felt Tanner was just as determined as I was to win my case; he put his total effort into it and never failed to impress me. Another comment I must make is on his writing! Tanner rewrote many of my appeals and grievances to make them into a stronger and more professional argument. I was always blown away while reading them because his writing skills are truly an art! Nothing was more satisfying than sending those letters to my Dean/Vice President. Hiring Tanner would be the best decision you make while dealing with an unpleasant situation in your academic career. I 1000% recommend!

I had an unpleasant experience and a poor outcome. The team were difficult to reach and had difficulty talking with the attorney even during the process. They never communicated further and did not follow through the last part of the appeal process as stipulated by the firm. I was never debriefed till date and they never reached out to my college at the GC level.

For my first time working with a legal team, I was pleasantly surprised with how supported I felt throughout the process. Upon our first phone call I immediately trusted them to handle the situation well, and I am glad to say we had a successful outcome! They were not only exceptionally kind and understanding of my situation, but also drilled down into the nitty gritty details to make sure they understood the fine points of the circumstances. Can't say enough kind words about how I have been treated by these wonderful, compassionate people.

I recently used the services offered by K Altman Law when my ex-girlfriend filed a case against me based on false accusations through my school. I am currently a pre-med student and plan to attend medical school. With this being the case and knowing that the goal of my ex-girlfriend was to keep me from achieving my goals, I needed the best that there is. This is exactly what I got from K Altman Law. I was represented by Mallory Jones; she is a non-attorney student advisor. She worked very closely with me throughout the entirety of the whole process and went above and beyond. Mallory is an exceptional student advisor; I can tell that she truly is very passionate about her work and takes great care with what she does. I feel as though she was more than just my advisor in that unfortunate situation, but rather a great friend who possesses a remarkable level of intelligence and unparalleled resources. Five stars in not a high enough rating.

This firm took advantage of and stolen UNEARNED FUNDS from a DISABLED VETERAN. Former client here. BUYER BEWARE. I contacted this firm to help me with an issue I had regarding a law school. When I had my first consultation, the Attorney Nicole Camiso, gave me a lot of false hope that she would fight for me and was confident in a positive outcome. While no one can ever guarantee a specific outcome. An Attorney has an absolute duty to fight for and represent their client to the best interest f their abilities. From the very beginning, this firm didn’t want to get involved in contacting the school as my representative. For the first month, I wrote all of the facts concerning the appeal (obviously I’m the only one who knows the facts but they didn’t help in editing/drafting the appeal letter) They we’re very reluctant in helping negotiate on my behalf. What is very telling is that this firm specifically advertises that THEY FIGHT AGAINST IVY LEAGUE COLLEGES/UNIVERSITIES and imply they are successful. Yet, folded like a lawn chair when they allegedly tried to negotiate with a small, private no-ABA law school. Seriously? The facts were on my side. I paid this firm thousands of dollars and was left in a worse position than I previously was. What is particularly troubling is that the firm, as well as Attorney Nicole Camiso, expressly state that take cases in California (I.e. practice) But when I looked up Attorney Nicole Camiso on the CalBar’s website, she is NOT A LICENSED CA ATTORNEY. Of course she was took much of a coward to pursue this case (despite fraudulently misrepresenting otherwise) because she is NOT LICENSED in California. While you can be licensed in any state in the U.S. to practice federal law. This was just a federal question issue. There are CA state laws regarding disabilities and post secondary education that could been explored but were not. Next, I sent this firm a demand letter outlining my contentions of unearned funds that the Michigan Code of Professional Conduct states I am entitled to receive any unearned funds back. They have since blatantly ignored my requests. I even broke down a reasonable amount and requested an itemized breakdown of my funds (which they refuse to provide) Mainly, the Kieth Altman Law Firm fraudulently misrepresented Nicole Camiso as a licensed CA Attorney, when she is in fact NOT. They are therefore vicariously liable just like she is. They STOLEN UNEARNED funds from me (in terms of refusing to return) THIS IS A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT. STAY AWAY FROM THIS FIRM. I should have done my research and looked at their negative reviews before handing over THOUSANDS of dollars. My next steps are filing grievance in MI and getting the CA Attorney General involved. If they want to see how far I’m willing to take it. They had the choice to resolve this and blatantly refused.

Run- In my situation this firm was a scam. The firm will provide misleading and partial information to you, in order to secure a “consultation payment.” Mine was $175.00 dollars. Firstly, the two and only phone numbers they provide result in two scenarios- Line number one, either they answer or not and line number two has an AI operator answer and you get nowhere, eventually stating, “No one can take the call.” The sales rep would not answer my question as to if their group, firm or business has an attorney licensed in my state of TN where my legal matters reside. I asked how long the consultation would be and she replied about a half hour in a voice that seemed suspicious, that’s when I should’ve said no, declined and left. After payment I receive an email stating I can send documents (good, I composed an overview letter for the firm to read and sent a few more/ additional important docs, I’m paying for the consultation, it’s not free so I’m understandably sending them to be reviewed). Then I read, “We will do our best to review documents, if you send numerous documents or long legal documents they may not be reviewed.” What! Then, thereafter they’re a no-show for my scheduled consultation. After I send an email, a rude lady on the phone tells me (calls me), “On my end I see, let me check,” as if I’m imagining this in which I had to say, “No, you're wrong, want me to forward you the email I have, was sent by you guys?” She then tells me she will get back to me. I replied, “If I can't get my consultation today, I need a refund.” Then, the lady who scheduled me wrong on their end calls me with the same attitude. I tell her I just want a refund and don’t appreciate the errors and accusations like I’m an idiot and I have been waiting on the phone twenty minutes. She tells me (like the other lady), I’ll check and get back to you. Finally, a male attorney calls me and leaves me a voicemail. He says, “Sorry” very nicely and tells me I can get a consult Friday, three days away in the afternoon with an advocate or they can refund me. While he was apologetic, still I just wanted my refund and emailed them, instructing the office a third time to refund me. I don’t want to speak to an advocate- I already have an advocate, my own advocate I have been working with and paying hourly fees to for months. I was (verbally) promised to speak to an attorney. For a $175.00 fee, you should receive a 1-2 hour consultation with a real licensed attorney in which they should review your sent documents. A zoom virtual meeting invite and link, not a phone number to call as they instruct you to and, certainly, the *attorney should show. This is not how this improper firm works. I suggest requesting something in writing or email before payment- To rightfully state: I will be meeting with/ see a licensed attorney (name) and have them disclose the duration (how long the meeting will be) of your consultation. I believe there are entities we could make/ file a complaint with regarding this party’s processes and procedures.

Ashley B. Did a zoom call to our school today in another state. And not only did she nail a lot of the key topics that were not addressed but got them to get off of their lazy butts and start the process at the school to where our son has his full potential met with learning, due to the fact that they did not seem to care that he had special needs. They looked at how they ran their school and her team executed perfectly to the best interest of our child and for that we are greatly thankful so I and my wife highly recommend this law firm Advocate group to help any child or family in need nationwide. Best decision you ever make for your child.

We had a very complex litigation that evolved from denying fape, to character defamation, retaliation and harassment. Our first meeting with Keith he was amazing, it finally felt like we had someone in our corner. They insisted we speak with their sped advocate team even though it was no longer a sped issue as our children transferred schools and were getting services but had evolved into harassment where the public school was demanding I delete all of my social media, which Keith himself said no that's illegal as you have first amendment rights. We felt like we finally found an attorney who would listen and explain this complicated issues with us, instead it appears it was a snake oil salesman with no capability of complex let along with willingness to listen to it, They canceled our litigation intake meeting and stated since the sped due process was already adjudicated they would not meet with us. We were meeting about Title IX violations, harassment. To which their litigation team stated they would not speak with us. After 11 days they said they "suddenly read all the legal documents within an hour" and would not meet with us. I'm sure they are an adequate law firm with the run of the mill iep and school disputes but refusing to even talk to parents who had been waiting over 11 days to meet with the litigation team only to be told we are canceling your appointment, was devastating. To this date no attorney has spoken with us and refuse to. I would also be willing to state to this moment they probably still don't even know the details of the case in which they unilaterally turned down.

I would recommend K Altman Law to assist with any educational needs you may need. My educational advocate, Nicole C. did an amazing job guiding my family and me through the special education system laws and procedures. She always informed and reached out to me. She was my rock through it all. I knew I was in over my head with the local school district when I called and she immediately took charge and made me feel like we were going to be okay. She helped us get all of our demands met and make sure that we were set up for success moving forward. I am so greatful we had her by our side throughout the entire process. Nicole C. truly keep me going when i felt like thinks we're getting to be overwhelmeing. Also, Rebecca thank you for speaking to me and helping me get a fantastic match with Nicole. Do not hesitate, hire them and know you are in the best possible hands. Don't ever fight the school system alone. I pray I don't have to do it again, but if I have too I will definitely utilize K Altman Law. Hands down! Overall 10/10
