Attorney Information

Overview

Attorney Saraphoena B. Koffron provides appellate and trial-level litigation services for those entrenched in conflict, and mediation services for those who seek alternative or more progressive forms of dispute resolution.

Saraphoena has represented in complex matters involving dissolution of high asset marital estates, family owned businesses, spousal support, premarital property, and inheritance issues. She successfully obtained favorable results both at trial and also through alternative dispute methods such as mediation and direct negotiation.

In her mediation practice, Saraphoena draws from her extensive experience litigating divorce and post judgment matters to avoid pitfalls and common oversights. Her familiarity with local courts gives parties a realistic view of what to expect if their case proceeds without a settlement.

Likewise, her experience as a litigator enhances the quality of her appellate advocacy. She knows what it's like to have to face the trial court on remand after a reversal. She works with trial counsel to ensure that arguments on appeal are consistent with, and not at the expense of, the client's long term goals.

On a personal level, Saraphoena and her law partner (Mike Koffron) are married with three children. They are heavily involved in the Jewish community and enjoy shouting at the Detroit Lions.
