Overview
Bernadette (“Bea”) M. Hanson joined FMA in 2023 and represents employees during and after their employment in circumstances involving the payment of wages, discrimination, harassment, whistleblowing, and retaliation.
Bea obtained her J.D. from the University of St. Thomas School of Law. While in law school, Bea earned the Dean's Award in Lawyering Skills III, participated in the pilot Special Education IEP review clinic, served as Senior Articles Editor for the University of St. Thomas Law Journal, and was involved with Student Government as a 3L Representative. Prior to joining FMA, Bea worked as a judicial law clerk in Dakota County, as well as a law clerk in the private sector and built the skills necessary to become a successful litigator and advocate.
In her spare time, Bea is on the Young Professionals Board at YouthLink, explores new Minneapolis restaurants, plays with her Sheepadoodle, Ollie, and is planning her wedding.
