Hilary R. Hannon comes to RGP with the merger of RGP and Pfefferle Kane LLP in January 2025. Hilary began working in civil litigation as an associate with Pfefferle Kane in 2022. Prior to that Hilary was a prosecutor in Hennepin County, Minnesota, handling felony criminal matters involving drugs, guns, burglary, criminal sexual conduct, child abuse, assault, and murder. She is an experienced trial lawyer; between 2018 and 2022, Hilary tried twenty-one jury trials and six court trials to verdict. Hilary started her career as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Judge Sara Grewing in Ramsey County, Minnesota, where Judge Grewing presided over family and juvenile court matters. During law school Hilary worked as a law clerk and Certified Student Attorney at the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office.

Hilary's practice areas include subrogation, construction design and defect matters, insurance defense, and first-party insurance coverage issues, including appraisals. While with Pfefferle Kane her work focused primarily on fire, fire protection failure, and construction defect losses. Her prior criminal trial experience has helpfully informed her work involving deposition testimony, motion practice, oral argument, and settlement negotiations.

Hilary grew up in Stillwater, Minnesota and now lives in Saint Paul with her husband and three children. She is an avid reader and sports fan, and loves to spend time outdoors camping, hiking, and boating.
