Law Office of Kenneth P. Carp
Bridgeton Administrative Law Lawyer
Overview
As an attorney for twenty years I have incorporated my personal and professional experiences into the practice of law. Personal attention is what my clients receive. When I appear at court for you we will recognize each other. I am not an attorney who stands in court announcing my client's name because I do not know who they are. As a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force, as an Operations Manager at Frito-Lay and in my personal life I have learned that we all have moments which are more sensitive than others. As an attorney I take great satisfaction in helping my clients during these moments. My first client from 20 ago is still with me. I don't know everything, but I am the first place to call because if I can't help you, I will find someone who will provide service at a reasonable price. My twenty years of practice have allowed me to narrow my focus of law to those identified. I have found that by focusing on what I enjoy, I can represent your needs better and can do so at a more reasonable price.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
