Hired Attorney 2014-2022Roby was referred to me by his mentor, Rick Scaletty. Roby lied to me countless times and when Scaletty was informed a coverup began at that firm. My case was drug out for over 7 years. I lost everything. Roby has been disbarred but with no remorse. Deliberate Malice with intent to financially, physically and mentally devistate me and my marriage. Roby works at a concession stand now. But don't trust him, even at that job. I have been writing a non fiction memoir about the various atrocities that happened over the last 8 years with Roby.

Hired Attorney 2013-2019We have had a workmans comp case going on with Mr. Roby since August of 2013. It has always been very difficult to get in touch with him and recieve any kind of information on our case. Recently we were informed that our case had been dropped due to him no longer being employed with William Halls Law firm. 5 years with no idea if he even did anything with our case and really no way of finding out. This whole law firm has been less than helpful and hasn't lived up to doing their JOBS. The Missouri Bar association has been informed of this mess of a business.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
