Overview

Dan focuses his practice on providing legal services to young married couples with one or more children. These services include estate planning, small business, and real estate. He is always willing to assist clients of all backgrounds accomplish their estate planning goals and take the mystery out of the planning process. Dan also enjoys serving local farmers and agricultural businesses in a variety of business and estate planning areas. Dan's practice specifically focuses on various leases, real estate transactions, and farm succession planning. Dan draws on his experience growing up on a farm south of Hastings to engage productively with farm clients in determining the best solutions to their legal issues. The fastest growing area of Dan’s practice is working with residential landlords in dealing with difficult and troublesome tenants. Dan is one of the most frequently used attorneys in the Hastings area for evictions. Dan has a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Creighton University and a Juris Doctor from the Creighton University School of Law. Dan's clinical experience in law school included drafting briefs for the Nebraska Court of Appeals, representing domestic violence victims, and forming numerous microenterprise limited liability companies. After graduating, Dan worked for a private law firm for two years, and then built and managed a successful solo law practice for almost eight years, serving south-central Nebraska, focusing on estate planning, probate, real estate, and business law.
