Andrew Sarti brings a rich and diverse background to his practice, with broad experience in family law, civil litigation, and contract and commercial law. He is known for devoting his full attention to every case, because success lies not only in knowing the law, but in mastering the details that bring each case to life.
Whether guiding individuals through emotionally charged divorce proceedings or advising businesses on complex commercial issues, Andrew is committed to delivering the highest caliber of representation and is unwavering in his pursuit of favorable results for his clients.
Before joining the firm, Andrew practiced at a respected New Jersey firm focused on family law and civil litigation, representing clients in all aspects of family law — divorce, custody and parenting time, alimony, equitable distribution, pre-marital and mid-marriage agreements, and domestic violence matters. Earlier, at a distinguished New York City firm, he handled a wide array of complex commercial litigation and other civil matters, and he has represented clients of all sizes, from individuals to large companies, in business and transactional matters.
His work is further informed by a strong professional background in project and program management, mergers and acquisitions, vendor management, corporate compliance, and information technology — a combination that lets him offer holistic, strategic counsel to clients facing multifaceted challenges. How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
