Verified ClientHired Attorney 2010I highly recommend Russell S. Warren Jr. His professionalism, excellent service, and absolute 'know-how' made dealing with an incredibly difficult circumstance much easier. I appreciate his staff's great follow-up skills and pleasant demeanor as well. Russell is very personable, approachable, and has a no-nonsense approach that got me from point A to Z in a reasonably quick time. I was able to achieve the results I needed without being overwhelmed by the process. His office hours are excellent for working folks with families, and his services are well-worth the investment you make. Even today when I call with a straggling question related to my case, he and his staff are genuine and take the time to answer my questions. I will certainly go back to Russell and recommend him to my friends and family.

Verified ClientHired Attorney 2010I would recommend Russell S. Warren Jr. to anyone that must claim bankruptcy. He makes you feel comfortable from the minute you meet him. He tells you exactly what he needs from you, what he'll do for you and exactly how it will go. He never makes you wait. He's so professional and yet he makes you feel like you're his only client. Aside from all that, he is a really nice man! I can go on and on about how great he is. The bottom line is, I can't imagine anyone ever being disappointed going to him because he is the best!

Verified ClientHired Attorney 2010I recently retained Russell Warren, Jr., Esq in my bankruptcy Chapter 7 filing in 2010. I had a couple of free consultations with many lawyers but I chose Mr. Warren for many reasons. In our first meeting, Mr. Warren explained the whole process very thoroughly. He presented me with all my options and answered all my questions clearly and if I didn't understand, he would go over it again until I understood the explanations. During the bankruptcy proceedings, many issues came up with the creditors and I was always able to reach Mr. Warren when I contacted his office. If he was ever in court, he would respond to my messages soon after. With each situation he always gave me advice on what I should do next and made me felt at ease. No matter how often I would contact him, he was always pleasant and responded quickly. Mr. Warren is very professional and personable and a very nice person to deal with. As a matter of fact, I have already recommended Mr. Warren to someone who was in a similar situation as myself recently.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
