The Law Office of Rachel S. Cotrino, LLC
Hamilton Family Law Lawyer
Overview
Attorney Rachel Cotrino began her legal career as a student at Vermont Law School where she graduated with her Juris Doctor in 2007. That same year she worked as a Law Clerk to the Honorable James Blaney, in the Superior Court of Ocean County. It was here that she had the chance to provide her services to prepare tentative decisions and orders regarding issues of visitation, custody and child support. She was also able to mediate disputes that took place in the Special Civil Part of the court, allowing her to develop skills that she still uses today, including negotiations and mediation. In 2008 went on to work at Gertner Mandel & Peslak as an Associate Attorney.
During her time in legal practice she has continued to dive deeper and deeper into her field, enhancing her knowledge and experience in the topic. She currently resides in Ocean County, New Jersey where she serves those in the local area with the divorce related situations. She puts her focus on this area, allowing her to strive to be the best at what she does, rather than attempting to cover too many areas like countless attorneys do. She is very familiar with matters of child custody, spousal support, property division and more. She shares her insight into these topics through The Family Law Blog that she writes.
Attorney Cotrino eventually decided to open her own practice which she has devoted to matrimonial issues. Her lengthy time in these cases has allowed her to see all sides of a case. She has witnessed first-hand the urgency in these cases, as well as how personal they can be. To her, it is the client that she puts her attention on and she seeks to get to know them and then pursue a solution that can work in their favor. Each case is unique and she believes that service should be tailor made to fit the particular details of each client's situation.
Much of these cases are based off of personal and financial matters and she looks to become thoroughly acquainted with these details of her clients relationship early on. Since divorce can be largely based on these categories, having this foundation from the beginning can allow her to move forward in a more effective manner. In cases such as these it is beneficial to have a lawyer that is not only knowledgeable and experienced, but also sensitive and compassionate to these matters that can often times be trying to address. She looks out for clients at the time of the divorce, along with considering the later ramifications. She looks to find an outcome that works for them in the long run, and when clients are too distraught to address this she can be a strong support system. Call the office for a consultation from an adept lawyer to learn the ways they can work along with you.
