Attorney Information
Overview
Ron is a partner/shareholder at Rigden, Lieberman & Mignogna, P.A.. Ron is a seasoned attorney with nearly 25 years of experience in all aspects of family/matrimonial law including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, domestic violence, equitable distribution, college expenses, marital settlement agreements, high-end family and matrimonial litigation, and appellate matters before the Appellate Division. His dedication and recognition in the area of family/divorce law resulted in his peers selecting him as Chair of the Family Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association for 2020-2021, where he lead over 2500 family lawyers and practitioners statewide.
Since 2010, Ron has been a certified as a Matrimonial Law Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey, after having successfully completed the requirements for certification in matrimonial law as set forth by the Supreme Court of New Jersey’s Board on Attorney Certification. A New Jersey attorney who is certified by the Supreme Court as a matrimonial law attorney must be a member in good standing of the NJ bar for over five years, maintain ongoing legal education requirements, demonstrate a substantial level of experience in matrimonial law, be favorably reviewed by other attorneys and judges familiar with his/her work, and take and pass a rigorous examination in matrimonial law. Only 3% of all attorneys in the state achieve this designation.
Ron has lectured over 60 times on all areas of family/matrimonial law for the New Jersey State Bar Association, Burlington County Bar Association, Camden County Bar Association, New Jersey Association for Justice, Sterling Business Enterprise, and the National Business Institute. He has authored over 40 articles and columns on all ranges of family and matrimonial law topics.
Ron has been admitted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and is the President-Elect of the New Jersey Chapter. The AAML is a national organization that seeks to encourage the study, improve the practice, elevate the standards and advance the cause of matrimonial law, to the end that the welfare of the family and society be protected. In order to become a Fellow in the AAML, a candidate must have significant family law trial experience, recommendations by the Judges before whom they regularly appear, and they must pass rigorous national and state examinations covering a multitude of complex family law issues. In order to maintain status as a Fellow in the AAML you must take continuing education credits and practice a high level of family law litigation. Fellowship is a select group, and there are only 1600 across the entire country.
Ron serves or served on all levels of family law-related committees. Ron is the Executive Editor of the New Jersey Family Lawyer which is a journal issued by the New Jersey State Bar Association publishing on topics related to family and matrimonial law. He spent years as a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court Family Practice Committee. He is the former President of the Camden County Bar Association and President of the Camden County Bar Foundation.
Ron has been continually recognized as a Super Lawyer (a Thomas Reuters Business), Best Lawyers in America (a trademark of Woodward/White Inc), and AV-Rated by Martindale Hubbell (parent company, Internet Brands)*.
Ron received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science Degree from the University of Delaware in 1995 and received his Juris Doctor Degree from the New York Law School in 1998. He is admitted to practice law in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
Ron is a member of the Board of the Boys and Girls Club of Camden County. He was on the Board of Directors of the Katz Jewish Community Center of Cherry Hill for 10 years.
