Bruce A. Schonberg, Esq. has more than 25 years of legal experience practicing in the areas of Personal Injury, Criminal Defense and Real Estate Law. Before founding Schonberg Law Offices of the Hudson Valley, P.C., Bruce was an Orange County District Attorney for 6 years prosecuting felony and misdemeanor cases within the County Court and Local Courts of Orange County, New York.
As a Prosecutor, Bruce A. Schonberg gained extensive experience trying cases and putting evidence before Judges and Jurors. While most cases are resolved by negotiations and not litigation, it is important to select an attorney who is willing and able to try your case to a successful conclusion. Bruce then became associated and a partner with the Law Firm of Grogan, Souto & Schonberg, P.C. This firm mainly represented and defended clients for the Insurance Carriers of Allstate, Nationwide and State Farm. As an attorney for these Insurance Companies, Mr. Schonberg handled thousands of personal injury claims. As a former insurance defense attorney, he understands what Insurance Companies are looking for to justify a favorable settlement of a personal injury claim. Today, he represents only injured people, in car accidents, slip and falls and other personal injury claims.
Mr. Schonberg then became a partner in the Law Firm of Barraco & Schonberg, P.C., which specialized in representing injured parties. While a partner, he tried many cases to a successful conclusion for injured persons in the Hudson Valley.
With the experience gained through his varied background, Mr. Schonberg is well equipped to handle any defense that is posed by the Insurance Carrier to help his injured clients to receive proper and fair compensation.

As a former Senior Assistant District Attorney for Orange County, Mr. Schonberg also represents persons accused of a crime.
