Overview
William K. Phillips is the Managing Partner of Phillips & Associates. He also serves “Of Counsel” to other law firms, providing litigation supervision with their employment law cases.
Mr. Phillips graduated magna cum laude from the College of Staten Island, and went on to attend New York Law School where he studied landlord-tenant law and entertainment law. In 1993 he graduated from St. Thomas School of Law in Miami. In 1996, he was admitted to the New York Bar, and is admitted to practice in the federal courts for the Eastern District of New York, the Southern District of New York, the Western District of New York, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Mr. Phillips has a variety of career experience in business, giving him valuable insight into the industries in which his clients work. He served as the business development director for a bar exam review company in New York. He then went on to become the Vice President of the Fieldstone Private Capital Group. He also served as the Principal of Real Estate Development at TPG Design, where he was responsible for the creation, management and development real estate projects.
Recognized as an outstanding employment lawyer, Mr. Phillips was selected as a 2013 Top 100 Labor & Employment Lawyer in New York by the American Society of Legal Advocates. Also, he is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, and the American Society of Legal Advocates. In addition, he has memberships in the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, New York County Lawyers Association, Brooklyn Bar Association, and the New York Chapter of NELA.
