Jericho Administrative Law Firm
Overview
What Sets Us Apart?
We provide effective and aggressive representation. We are willing to accept difficult cases. There is a benefit to the client in being able to work with the same attorney from inception through the conclusion of the case. Clients are never billed for inter-office memoranda. We practice law the old-fashioned way, by putting the client first.
What distinguishes you from other practitioners in their field?
The ability to maintain a sense of humor and balance, while aggressively advocating my client's position and coming up with creative solutions.
Let a Caring and Aggressive Attorney, with 30 Years' Experience, fight to protect your interests and find meaningful solutions for you.
We are most effective when working for a small business interest or for a client who is contemplating a divorce and is in need of Divorce Financial Planning. We welcome clients anticipating a contested Custody and Relocation case. We excel in negotiating creative separation/divorce, prenuptial, and domestic partnership agreements.
Client Service Policies and Practices:
We take pride in the legal services we offer and subscribe to the Statement of Client's Rights .
An engagement letter is provided for all legal services. Close communication with clients and copying clients with all correspondence sent and received is standard procedure. We *listen* to our clients, because each case is unique. In partnership with you, we seek to achieve meaningful solutions for you.
What professional accomplishments are you most proud of?
Having a client say "Thank you" when the case is over. Most of all, I feel a sense of satisfaction at the many cases that I have settled, rather than going to trial. For middle class people, divorce litigation is a disaster. Nobody wins a divorce. In most cases, a divorce trial reflects a failed negotiation as well as a failed marriage. One must choose one's battles, and where children are involved, we all need the wisdom of Solomon.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
