Ms. Dahan was born and raised in Lexington, Massachusetts. After graduating with a B.A. from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., Ms. Dahan worked in public policy, advocating the needs of children and families both on the state level and federally on Capitol Hill.
Ms. Dahan received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law, where she served on the Public Interest Law Journal. While in law school, Ms. Dahan worked at the Northern Virginia Capital Defenders Office, where she was responsible for compiling mitigation evidence for defendants facing capital sentences. Ms. Dahan also worked during law school for a large civil litigation firm, where she participated in all aspects of trial preparation. Ms. Dahan acted as a Rule 3:03 Student Attorney in the Boston University Criminal Defenders Clinic, where she managed trial and pretrial preparation for defendants facing a range of criminal charges. In 2013, Ms. Dahan successfully petitioned the Supreme Judicial Court to allow an interlocutory appeal to the Appeals Court.
