Jeffrey has spent over 20 years practicing law and maximizing the rights of injured workers in the state of New York. During that time, he has represented thousands of claimants in their NYS Workers Compensation and Social Security Disability claims, respectively. He has a firm understanding of when to use diplomacy and when to be assertive. Jeffrey strives to provide clear communication to his clients so that they understand the law, the process, their obligations and the strategy of their claim. “The only way my client can make the best decision for their unique situation is to fully know and understand all of the relevant facts, those that are advantageous as well disadvantageous, and to weigh them accordingly.” He has a full appreciation for his clients and the adversity of their situations. He is dedicated to zealously representing his clients and to obtaining the favorable results for them.

When he is not strategizing on behalf of his clients, he is a devoted husband and father. He is very active in his child’s Catholic school and church. Additionally, Jeffrey has always been an extraordinary, animal lover and he continues to provide consistent donations and volunteering for local animal shelters. Jeffrey enjoys lifting weights, hot yoga and the martial arts; he has studied Taekwondo, Hapkido, Aikido, and he is currently studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
