From our office in Syosset, New York, our team at PM Law, P.C., assists clients in need of legal counsel in the fields of corporate law, family law, commercial real estate, and immigration.
Our notable achievements include acting as counsel for some of the most prominent companies in the real estate mortgage and banking industry and representing the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as closing agent on liquor license applications, among other things.
We aim to provide services that not only meet but also surpass client expectations in terms of their outcomes, quality and value. Our mission is to help you overcome any legal hurdles. Our depth, experience and variety are all thanks to this guiding principle. Our firm founders are still helping our most loyal clients today.
Attorney Malik Pankaj founded our firm with the belief that clients are best served by a legal service that prioritizes them, responds quickly to their requests, provides the individualized attention their cases require, and is on the cutting edge of legal innovation. She established her firm with the goal of assisting a wide range of clients. She won't rest until her legal work meets her exacting standards.
Ms. Pankaj has been practicing law for over 25 years, and during that time she has represented clients in a wide variety of business, construction, corporate, bankruptcy, estate and guardianship, family, and real estate challenges. She is skilled at negotiating and creating contracts and has a wealth of knowledge in the areas of banking, taxation and budgeting. Along with investor EB5's, consular processing, employment-based, deportation, removal, writs and waivers, she is well-versed in a wide variety of areas of immigration law.
Our main branch is in New York City, and we have an office in Forest Hills as well. For a no-cost, no-obligation consultation, please call PM Law, P.C., or visit one of our New York offices today. How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
