Attorney John Johnston has over 30 years of legal experience and is the town of Jefferson’s legal counsel. He is also on the Ashe Memorial Hospital foundation board and ethics committee and attends Jefferson United Methodist Church.

Lawyer John Johnston attained his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from North Carolina Central University School of Law, Durham, North Carolina and a Bachelor of Science from Appalachian State University.
