Attorney Information

Overview

Danielle Levy is an experienced attorney and Partner at The Family Law and Fertility Law Group, where she focuses her practice on family law and divorce.

Danielle discovered her passion for Family Law while working as a clerk at an established family law firm in downtown Cincinnati. She went on to serve as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Jon H. Sieve at the Hamilton County Court of Domestic Relations for nearly five years before joining The Family Law and Fertility Law Group. From the beginning of her career, Danielle has limited her practice exclusively to family law, representing clients with legal matters related to dissolutions, divorce, child custody and support, property division, prenuptial agreements and other related issues. In addition, Danielle is a dedicated Guardian Ad Litem, appointed by the Court to represent the best interests of children who are involved in legal proceedings.

What Danielle loves most about practicing Family Law is the opportunity to work closely with clients and help them navigate through the challenging and emotional period of transition in their lives. Drawing on her experience, she believes in the importance of empowering clients with the knowledge and tools to make informed and sound decisions about their personal and financial futures. She is grateful to have found a practice that is perfectly suited to her skillset.

While Danielle has extensive trial experience, she believes the best way to approach ending a marriage is through the collaborative process. The collaborative model allows for complex problem solving and creative solutions to meet the needs of each family. However, she recognizes that out of court settlement is not always possible. In these cases, her advocacy and litigation skills are utilized to achieve the best possible outcome for her client.

A highly rated attorney, Danielle has received numerous awards for her work including her selection as a Super Lawyers' Rising Star every year since 2019.

Danielle has been involved in many legal organizations, sitting on the Board of the Cincinnati Academy of Collaborative Professionals and a past committee member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. She is a member of the Cincinnati Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association. Danielle's commitment to leadership has also earned her recognition as a member of the 2019 class of the Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers (CALL).

Danielle's practice is primarily based in Hamilton, Warren, Clermont, and Butler Counties in Ohio. Her commitment to her clients and her deep understanding of the intricacies of family law make her a trusted advocate for those navigating through the complexities of family legal matters.

If you are looking for a wonderful attorney to handle a Family Law matter, I highly recommend Danielle Levy. She was great and helped me navigate through a difficult situation of a Child-Support issue with my ex and got the outcome that was fair and needed for myself and my children. I know as fathers coming into the divorce/shared-parenting/child-support process, we feel as though we are automatically fighting an up-hill battle and we feel we often get the short-end of everything in these processes. Danielle quickly made me feel confident that things would work out fairly and honestly, and her experience in these matters really shined throughout the process. Danielle and her staff were very professional, courteous, and understanding where she showed a lot of compassion, was very responsive to my concerns, and was straight-forward with everything. In the end, I couldn’t have hoped for a better outcome. I have to say a big thanks to Danielle and her staff! I have greatly appreciated everything she did with my case.

When viewing a listing, consider the state advertising restrictions to which lawyers and law firms must adhere, as well as our FindLaw.com Legal Directory disclaimer. Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
