Prior to joining the firm, Michael worked in a research lab investigating inorganic nanomaterials including semiconductors and porous materials. Michael also served as a judicial extern in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

Michael earned his Juris Doctor from Indiana University, where he helped found the Volunteering in Intellectual Property Pro Bono organization, participated in the Intellectual Property Clinic, and competed in the American Intellectual Property Law Association moot court competition. Michael continues to volunteer in his local community by serving as a Legal Advisor to the Kings High School Mock Trial team as well as by providing pro bono legal services with Cincinnati’s Volunteer Lawyers Project and the Pro Bono Partnership of Ohio.
